Over the last few years, Duferco has developed a number of diversification initiatives in sectors like energy, environment, shipping and logistics.


This was primarily due to the fact that, within its core steel business, Duferco is a large user of products and services provided by above mentioned sectors firms, and over time has acquired a significant know-how by interacting with the latter.
At the same time, Duferco could count on the availability of large spaces and infrastructures within its European steel production sites, as well as a consolidated network of relationships within the territory, and, last but not least, some excess liquidity to be reinvested.
These diversification initiatives are now developing very positively, supported by Duferco steel trading and production units, particularly in those markets where a significant coverage can be guaranteed in terms of local resources and international relationships.
As a result, the Duferco brand, which is that of a truly global company, can be applied to these diversification initiatives as well as the traditional core business.
Our aim is to continue to invest, even in partnerships, and grow in these new lines of business, and because of such being of great importance to the future of Duferco, we have decided to insert a brief.
